Like a royal prerogative, the Cuvée Apanage was created as a confidential cuvée dedicated to the culinary arts, a link between the greatest terroirs of Champagne and the finest restaurants in the world. TASTING NOTES
On the Eye: A pale-yellow hue with golden highlights enchants the eye. The bubbles are fine and delicate.
On the Nose: The first impression is of a bewitching bouquet of white flowers, with hawthorn and jasmine coming to the fore. This subtle harmony is supported by notes of ripe citrus fruits such as Sorrento lemon. These refreshing aromas gradually open up to more complex, toasty flavours of acacia honey, marshmallow and brioche.
On the Palate: After a smooth, delicately buttery attack, this champagne reveals notes of white nectarines, balanced by elegant freshness and the natural minerality of the terroirs from which it is made. The heart of the tasting, with its velvety texture, expresses
the richness of the flavours and the complexity of the layers in the blend. The finish is full-bodied and long-lasting, enhanced by notes of citrus zest which round off the panoply of flavours.
An ideal wine for a fine aperitif, but also an excellent accompaniment to the most delicious dishes in meal. Creel-caught langoustine with bergamot, red mullet with smoked tea or poultry with fennel and cardamom are examples of pairings perfectly in tune with this cuvée.
