This Trappist beer is brewed in the Saint Benedict Abbey De Achelse Kluis and has the ATP logo. The beer is brewed by monks themselves or under their supervision. The brewery belongs to the abbey and the proceeds are intended for life in the abbey. Achel Bruin has a hoppy aroma with caramel notes, nuts, a bit of yeast, and overripe fruit. Taste: a firm body, malt sweetness, caramel, fruity (raisins, banana, figs), and a pleasant hop-bitter note. The beer contains 9.5% alcohol.
