Contrary to what the name suggests, the mozzarella d'Oro di Blariaco is a quintessentially Dutch product. The buffalo milk comes from the Buffalo Pietfarm in Asten and the mozzarella is produced at Kaashandel Tebben in Blerick. This buffalo mozzarella is porcelain white and can be peeled like a fresh onion. The outer layer is just slightly firmer than the core. When you cut a ball, the milk moisture runs out. This 'bleeding of the heart' is a guarantee of the highest quality.
