Vinyl gloves are made from PVC. Of the three different materials, vinyl is the least strong material and therefore offers the least protection. Like nitrile, vinyl is a good alternative to latex gloves in case of an allergy. Additionally, vinyl gloves are resistant to oil, fat, and acids and bases (note: vinyl gloves are not resistant to solvents and ketones).
