The history of Bokma begins at the source. Literally, because "the source" is the name that Freerk Klaasezoon Bokma gave to his distillery. He followed in the footsteps of his father Klaas Bokkeszoon, who, besides his own grain mill, also had a cooperage dating from 1826. In this way, he laid the foundation for a rich and long family tradition.
