Loch Lomond Reserve is a Blended Scotch Whisky. Tasting notes:
Color: golden yellow.
Nose: The first impression is a wide spectrum of malt aromas, a second impression discovers subtly light fruit, a softly fruity sweetness appears to hide just behind the larger more developed malt tones.
Taste: Seville orange marmalade on warm bread, both sweet and sharp, but with a creamy maltiness. The fruit becomes fresher and more candied as the palate develops. There is a sweet but firm ginger character to the mid-palate. Marmalade notes give way to the ginger.
Finish: The remarkable palate with the present stewed fruits and spices fades slowly, with a sweetness that gently fades, a hint of flowers in the wind.
