The Talisker 8 Year Old from the Special Releases 2024 offers a classic and powerful Talisker experience.
This edition has matured in casks that were first "polished" by the elements (such as rocks and water) and then lightly re-toasted. This results in a whisky with a combination of maritime influences, such as sea salt and oyster shells, and fruity aromas of pears and green apples, with hints of vanilla and light spices.
The taste is spicy with a peppery sharpness, followed by a rich saltiness and a cooling effect on the tongue. The finish is long and spicy, with a refreshing, menthol-like sensation.
Bottled at 58.7% ABV, this whisky offers both the typical Talisker elements and a new, more fruity and vanilla-like twist.
