Only 1 in 100 barrels is selected as Single Barrel and then rests in the upper spots in the Jack Daniel's barrelhouse. The high position in the warehouse ensures that the barrels breathe even more and the color and flavor become even more intense and robust. Each batch of Single Barrel has a unique flavor because each barrel imparts its own notes to the whiskey that matures in it.
