Theo Preiss founded his small, artisanal distillery in the heart of Alsace in 1945. In 1975, the company decided to market its carefully crafted eaux-de-vie under the name of its founder. Since then, the distillery has continued to grow both in the French and international markets. This small company, with around ten employees, all share the same primary goal: to produce the best possible eau-de-vie using fruit of outstanding quality, harvested at optimal ripeness. The terroir, location, and cultural conditions are also part of the process. Production still uses 'old world'-style equipment, traditional and of high quality.
