La Garde Rouge is soft and spicy with round tannins. Lots of juicy fruit, chocolate, and nutty. Château la Garde was built in 1732 as a picturesque charterhouse surrounded by valleys and forests. It was not until around 1880 that winemaking began to play a major role here. Thanks to an exceptional diversity in soils, including a plateau of deep gravel, this is perfect for the typical Bordeaux grapes.
