This wine comes from 50-year-old vines and has a nose of tropical fruit and grapefruit. The wine has impressions of peach on the palate and is beautifully balanced. The attack is fresh but full, and in the finish, it has excellent length. The Vieilles Vignes rouge is wonderfully full, yet soft. The wine has a nose of ripe red fruit and on the palate blackberries and a hint of cherry. The smooth but present tannins, together with the beautiful spicy finish with a touch of bay leaf, make this a top wine.
