The unique wines of Mas Martinet in Priorat have tremendous aging potential. For over 25 years, Martinet has been at the top of the Priorat appellation. Sourced from an estate called Mas Seró, located in the Masos de Falset area, the Serra Alta estate at an altitude of 400 m and facing southwest, as well as an estate in Torroja, in the cooler, lower-lying part of Priorat. Mineral, earthy nose with fresh raspberries, malt, and fresh herbs. Palate of ripe red fruit with pleasant, ripe, delicate tannins, hints of mint and lavender, and a fine, fresh acidity, followed by a long, smooth finish. Pairs well with stews of wild boar, lamb, oven-baked rabbit with olives, and robust tomato-based sauces.
