Franz and Irmgard Hirtzberger have transformed their already renowned winery into one of the leading estates. Since 2022, Franz "the Fourth" has been responsible for the recently renovated flagship, while Franz "the Fifth" is currently studying viticulture and will eventually take over. The family currently manages approximately 35 hectares. Most of this is planted with Grüner Veltliner and Riesling, but they also cultivate Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, and Chardonnay. Passion for wine and perfect, precise collaboration in all areas form the basis for the uncompromising quality that has earned them a worldwide reputation. The Singerriedel vineyard is the source of one of Austria’s most famous Riesling wines. "Honivogl" is the estate’s flagship, the Grüner Veltliner, grown on primary rock soil at the foot of the Singerriedel. Other renowned vineyards include Rotes Tor, Axpoint, and Hochrain. The wines are characterized by incredible consistency and exceptional aging potential.
