This oval and flattened shellfish is about five centimeters in size. The color varies from white to black and from gray to yellow. The carpet shell seems to have a checkered pattern and is always spotted. The taste of the fine and tender meat is particularly appreciated. The shells give a nice salty flavor to dishes. This shellfish needs to be cooked or stir-fried for a maximum of 3 minutes.
