Coconut milk is one of the most important ingredients in most Asian cuisines. The milk is made by soaking the freshly grated, white flesh of a ripe coconut in water and then pressing it. The more fresh coconut is used for the coconut milk, the more (coconut) fat the milk will contain. The fat content is therefore a good indicator of the quality of the coconut milk. This coconut cream from Kara is a thicker and fattier variant of the standard coconut milk and contains 24% fat. Due to the high fat content, less is needed to flavor dishes and preparations.
