This Campbeltown Single Malt Scotch Whisky first matures in first-fill bourbon casks and then for at least eight months in rum casks from Guyana, once used for Demerara rum. The whisky has an exotic aroma of salty sea air, brown sugar, pineapple, and tropical fruit. Flavors of molasses, coconut, banana, and sweet peach with subtle spiciness. The maritime influences of Campbeltown whisky remain noticeable in the lingering finish.
