Blackberry jam

Making jam is an ideal way to preserve your summer fruit.

Ingredients

500ggelling sugar
500gBlackberries
1Lemon

Preparation

  1. Wash the blackberries and put them together with the gelling sugar and the juice of one lemon in a pan.
  2. Slowly heat the pan to 105°C. If there is foam on the jam, skim it off.
  3. If you want to add flavors like mint, lemon balm, or basil, do so after removing the jam from the heat source.
  4. Decide whether you want to puree the jam or keep it chunky.
  5. Fill the jars with jam.
