Tater Tots
Classic from American cuisine. Especially popular at Thanksgiving, but also delicious as a potato side dish for the Christmas table.This recipe makes about 30 ‘Tater Tots’.Ingredients
3units.eetlepelFlat-leaf parsley
0.5units.eetlepelSalt
2units.eetlepelCornstarch or flour
1units.theelepelGarlic powder
1units.theelepelOnion powder
Freshly ground black pepper
4units.itemsGrilled potatoes
Preparation
- Peel the potato and place in cold water (keep potatoes whole).
- Bring to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.
- Remove from the cooking liquid.
- Grate coarsely on a box grater.
- Place on a clean tea towel and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
- Transfer the grated potato to a mixing bowl.
- Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well by hand.
- Form into 'barrels'. Wet your hands to make this easier.
- Fry them at 180°C until crispy.
- Salt afterwards and sprinkle with some fresh parsley.
