Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier is considered a worldwide benchmark for any wheat beer. No flavorings such as coriander or lemon peel are used. The fresh acidity is obtained by the typical, proprietary yeast. The beer is exceptionally easy to drink. This is an unfiltered beer; the yeast is still in it (hence the addition 'hefe'). When pouring, this beer is beautifully cloudy. The aroma and taste are dominated by fruity notes in which banana and apricot prevail.
