Bols Genever Barrel Aged is an 18-month aged premium genever from Amsterdam. This old genever has a rich, malty flavor with notes of oak, hints of juniper, and a slightly fruity, complex finish. This is the ideal genever to drink neat or as a Kopstoot alongside a beer. Additionally, Bols Genever Barrel Aged is also perfect for cocktails like the Old Fashioned. Master distiller Piet van Leijenhorst was inspired by the American bourbon tradition. Van Leijenhorst has years of experience in aging genever. He decided that an original 19th-century Bols Genever recipe would be perfect for aging in oak. Rich and round malt tones with a fruity, complex finish with a bit of juniper.
