A blend of different Calvados Pays d'Auge, aged for at least two years in oak barrels. Fruity with distinct aromas of fresh apples with subtle hints of wood. The best apples come from a small area in the department of Calvados: the Pays d'Auge. These apples are also used for Busnel. Only the old, traditional stills are used here. The Normans claim that the tastiest Calvados is made here. Calvados is a protected designation. Only apple distillates from this region may bear the name Calvados and it is the equivalent of the Grande Champagne from the Cognac region. Busnel can rightfully call itself Calvados.
