Yamazaki Whisky is Suntory's flagship single malt whisky, originating from Japan's first and oldest malt distillery. With a range of options, from Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve to 12, 18, and 25 years old, all these prestigious whiskies contain carefully selected components, matured in American, Spanish, and Japanese Mizunara oak. Yamazaki Golden Promise is made from Golden Promise barley. This variety, first cultivated in Scotland in the 1960s, is praised for its flavor and malty characteristics. Combined with maturation in American oak casks, the nuances of the Yamazaki base are accentuated by a malty and rich character, with sweet, fruity, and citrus notes.
