Tequila Los Abuelos, later known as Fortaleza, is a tequila brand with a rich history dating back to 1873. Produced and bottled on the family estate in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico, using traditional processes started over 125 years ago by the great-great-grandfather. The bottles are made in the old-fashioned way; they are hand-blown by artisans in the town of Tonalá, Jalisco, Mexico. Aromas of fruit, baked ripe agave, green olive, and earth are invitingly present. Slightly brighter and with a touch more rustic character than the regular blanco: flavors of butter, olive, earth, black pepper, and vegetal notes are intensified as it comes directly from the small copper pot still, with no water added before bottling.
