A distinctive Alentejo wine. Typical of the region. Clear ruby red in color. With a scent of slightly riper fruit: red berries, blackberries, and wild blueberries, but also some toast and tobacco can be discovered (due to aging in oak). In the taste, everything returns. This Portuguese wine is fresh, intense, has a firm structure with soft tannins. All in all, a very pleasant wine. Such a full-bodied Portuguese wine calls for heartier dishes. Spiced lamb, grilled red meat, stews, or with a piece of aged Gouda cheese. Or try something different, as the locals do: squid in red wine sauce or feijoada (a bean stew). Made from Aragonês, Trincadeira, Touriga Nacional, and Syrah.
