This pinotage from Aaldering has matured for no less than 24 months in oak barrels. Taste: beautiful tannins, lots of fruit, and a subtle smokiness. This wine gives me the complete South African feeling. It is the scent of South Africa when you step off the plane that you taste in the glass. The spiciness and spices make South Africa a wonderful wine country. All of that comes back in this glass, and that is fantastic! Rich in aromas of raspberry, dark cherries, pomegranate, a hint of vanilla, and undertone of mocha. Full of structure with a long finish. One of South Africa's finest Pinotages.
