The entire vinification process is carried out in the Bodega of Baron Philippe de Rothschild Maipo Chile. The grapes are hand-picked and then brought to the bodega. They are hand-sorted multiple times, then destemmed and lightly pressed for vinification. Vinification takes place in the Bordeaux manner at controlled temperatures to preserve all the aroma, taste, and freshness of the fruit. Made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Syrah, and Cabernet Franc. An intense dark red color. The nose opens on an elegant combination of red and black fruit aromas, followed after aeration by elegant spice and roasted coffee bean notes. On the palate, ripe red and black fruit flavors emerge at the start, followed by powerful black fruits mixed with delicate spice and roasted coffee bean notes. The fruit flavors present at the start return, supported by beautifully refined tannins that give length and elegance to the finish.
