Poggio al Tesoro
100% Bolgheri Vermentino. The name reflects the close connection between this Mediterranean grape variety and the Bolgheri terroir: it is essentially the result of hard work in the vineyards and ripening under the sun. This wine is a true favorite of Marilisa Allegrini. It embodies the colors, aromas, and flavors of this region, which lies so close to the sea.
Color: Bright straw yellow with light green reflections.
Nose: Intense aromas of ripe citrus, white fruit (such as peach and apple), floral notes (acacia, chamomile), and a hint of Mediterranean herbs.
Palate: Dry, fresh, and mineral with good structure. The wine is elegant with lively acidity, subtle salinity, and a long, refreshing finish.
Finish: Fine, lightly spicy, and persistent.
Gastronomy: Excellent as an aperitif, but especially suitable with seafood, grilled fish, shellfish, and light Mediterranean dishes.
About Allegrini
The name Allegrini is synonymous in viticulture with passion, vision, and quality, representing unparalleled Italian quality worldwide. In 2001, Marilisa Allegrini and her brother Walter were looking for something outside Valpolicella and had always been in love with Bolgheri. There, they decided to buy some land and establish roots in one of the most prestigious wine-producing areas. This is how Poggio al Tesoro was founded.
