A blend of different vintages of Calvados which have matured in oak barrels for at least four years. Fresh and rich with fruity notes of apple and figs. Round taste with hints of cinnamon and mint, coffee and vanilla in the finish. The best apples come from a small area in the Calvados department: the Pays d'Auge. These apples are also used for Busnel. Only the old, traditional stills are used here. The Normans claim that the tastiest Calvados is made here. Calvados is a protected designation. Only apple distillates from this region may bear the name Calvados and it is the equivalent of the Grande Champagne from the Cognac region. Busnel can rightfully call itself Calvados.
