The Ruby is a traditional style that has been made and exported by Fonseca for over 200 years. Fonseca is proud of their Ruby, which has been consistently high quality for more than a century and a half. The wine matures for three years in large wooden vats, allowing it to soften and develop without losing its fresh, intense fruity character and deep ruby color. Fresh, powerful, and youthful nose, full of intense aromas of cherries and blackcurrants. Full of flavor in the mouth, with firm but well-integrated tannins and a long, rich fruity finish. An excellent dessert wine, especially with ripe blue cheeses. Serve at room temperature.
