Bun Korean fried chicken with Korean sticky glaze

The Korean chicken bun is a flavorful combination of crispy, juicy chicken in a sweet and spicy glaze, served on a soft bun.

Ingredients

Gua bao buns
30mlSushi vinegar
80mlSoy sauce
12ggochujang
Battered chicken chunks
65gSugar
50gKetchup
15gChopped garlic
Garlic sesame seeds
Kewpie mayonnaise
Fresh parsley
Spring onion
Coriander
Little gem
Puffed green rice

Preparation

  1. Steam the gua bao buns.
  2. Fry the chicken chunks for about 2 minutes (or bake them for 12 minutes at 180°C in the oven).
  3. Sauté the garlic.
  4. Toss the warm chicken pieces with the Korean Sticky Glaze.
  5. Finely chop the spring onion, parsley, and coriander.
  6. Spread Kewpie mayonnaise on the bun, add little gem lettuce, followed by the chicken.
  7. Top with puffed green rice, spring onion, parsley, and coriander.
