Baked pear with almond paste

A delicious hand pear combined with almond paste and puff pastry.

Ingredients

200mlcinnamon liqueur
Almond paste
1Egg yolk
200mlWater
powdered sugar and cinnamon powder
1sheet of puff pastry
1hand pear

Preparation

  1. Peel a conference pear and core it.
  2. Heat the water and cinnamon liqueur (do not boil).
  3. Place the pear in the mixture for about 8 minutes, so it softens slightly and the cinnamon liqueur can infuse. Remove the pear from the liquid and pat dry.
  4. Fill the hollow space in the pear with almond paste.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry thinly and cut into strips. Stick these strips from top to bottom, all around the pear.
  6. Brush with egg yolk and bake in an oven at 180°C until the pastry is light brown.
  7. Dust with a mix of powdered sugar and cinnamon powder. Serve with vanilla sauce and ice cream.
