Filled speculaas is a traditional delicacy. Richly filled with almond paste between layers of spiced speculaas.Ingredients for 10 people.
Ingredients
whole almonds
190gBrown soft sugar
225gUnsalted butter
375gWheat flour
5Euroma Speculaas Spices
Preparation
- Mix the wheat flour, caster sugar, butter, speculaas spices, a pinch of salt, and 2 tbsp ice-cold water into a smooth dough.
- Let rest covered for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the oven to 175°C.
- Roll out the dough to 1 cm thick, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper, and garnish with the almonds.
- Bake the speculaas for 25 minutes until done.
