Italian pizza

Pizza made according to an authentic Italian recipe. The strength of a real Italian pizza lies in its simplicity, but in the quality of the ingredients.

Ingredients

500gType 0 soft wheat flour
275gWater
15gextra virgin olive oil
10gSalt
20gBaker's yeast
8gSugar
Mozzarella
tomato pulp or tomato sauce

Preparation

  1. Mix all ingredients and knead for 10 minutes until the dough is smooth and homogeneous.
  2. Place the dough in a bowl greased with oil. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rest at room temperature until the dough has doubled in size (about 90 minutes).
  3. Grease a baking tray and spread the pizza dough on it.
  4. Add tomato pulp or sauce and bake for 8 to 9 minutes at 230°C-250°C.
  5. Add the toppings and bake for another 6 to 7 minutes.
