
Classic mac & cheese
This recipe serves 1 to 2 people as a main course and 3-4 people as a side dish. Preparation takes 25 minutes. Oven time: 15 to 20 minutes.Ingredients

160mlWhole milk

40gGouda cheese

13gpanko breadcrumbs
Pinch of salt

Preparation
- Cook the pasta according to the instructions on the package. Melt butter in a small pan over medium heat.
- Add the flour and mix together with a whisk for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add salt and pepper and add the milk in portions, keep whisking until a smooth sauce forms. Cook until the sauce thickens, then remove the pan from the heat.
- Melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat, add the panko breadcrumbs and stir for 3 to 5 minutes until the breadcrumbs turn golden brown.
- Drain the pasta, return it to the pan and cover with the grated cheese. Pour the sauce over and stir gently so the cheese melts from the heat of the sauce.
- Spoon the pasta mixture into a greased Cheese Baker and sprinkle the panko breadcrumbs on top.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes at 200°C and voilà!
