Liefmans waffles.Ingredients
20gDry yeast
300mlMilk
5Eggs
500gFlour
80gFine sugar
125mlLiefmans 0.0
125gButter
Pinch of salt
1(Peanut) oil
Preparation
- Heat the milk until it is lukewarm. Then stir in the yeast until it is dissolved.
- Put the flour in a bowl, make a well in the center, and add the egg yolks, sugar, Liefmans 0.0, and the yeast mixture. Mix well together.
- Melt the butter and add it to the batter. Mix further until you have a smooth batter.
- Beat the egg whites until stiff and gently fold them into the batter along with a pinch of salt. Let rise for 45 minutes at room temperature.
- Grease a waffle iron with peanut oil. Spoon some batter into the waffle iron, close it, and bake. Serve as desired with fruit and powdered sugar.
Tip: Slowly reduce the remaining 125 ml Liefmans with 50 grams of sugar to make a syrup and serve with the waffles!
