Regulars' table the Naate Raaf had a beer brewed around 1865 for a new Carnival association. A black beer. The style was later frequently copied by German breweries and known there under the name Schwartz Bier. This secret recipe is now being brewed again since Venlo has a worthy brewery once more. This results in a dark, bottom-fermented lager-type beer. By using black roasted malts, with a fresh, neutral bottom yeast, and with the special hop variety Harmonie from the Czech Republic.
