For the asparagus ham, which is produced in Van der Zee's own sausage factory, the best meat parts of the hind ham are used. The meat is enriched with the flavor of asparagus and then traditionally cooked and lightly smoked; this results in the very refined taste. Delicious to serve warm with asparagus or on a sandwich, for example.
