Cast iron requires maintenance, but this is easier than you might think. Follow these simple steps to keep your pan in top condition:

1. Clean the pan after use with warm water and a dish brush (avoid soap).
2. Dry the pan thoroughly with a tea towel to prevent rust formation.
3. Store the pan in a dry place to extend its lifespan.

All cast iron products from Petromax are pre-treated several times (also known as “seasoning”). This provides a natural non-stick coating and helps prevent rust.

If rust does occur, it is not a problem. Scrub the rust spot with a wire brush, rinse the pan, and treat it again with Petromax care wax.
