The Shichirin is made of ceramic with quartz, cordierite, and fired at a high temperature. This makes the Shichirin a real powerhouse. The grill is easy to clean thanks to the glazed exterior. The device is for outdoor use only with briquettes, self-igniting briquettes, or charcoal. The Japanese use binchotan charcoal, the black gold of Japan, which allows extremely high temperatures to be reached. The Shichirin barbecue features a portable base, a 30 cm stainless steel grill grate, and comes with a standard bamboo coaster.
