The internationally award-winning rum of El Dorado is produced by Demerara Distillers Limited in Guyana. Here, since 1670, the traditional cultivation of sugarcane is combined with the distillation of rum with the distinctive El Dorado aroma. Demerara Distillers combines local traditions and craftsmanship with modern and refined processing and distillation techniques. The El Dorado 8YO is a complex blend of different types of rum, all of which have been aged for at least eight years. The rums in the blend are produced both on the famous wooden distillation column and on the versatile Savalle distillation column. What further makes this 8-year-old El Dorado Rum special is the addition of the extremely scarce PM rum, distilled on the double wooden Pot Still of Demerara Distillers. The only working wooden distillation kettle in the world!
