Stauning Curious is known as White Dog, New Make, or Raw Spirit. It is the heart of the rye whisky distillate – and to make it even more special, they have taken the mash bill of their malted rye and barley and smoked it with the peat they use for their single malt.
It tastes great on its own – similar to a grappa or mezcal, but sweeter, more full-bodied, and very smoky. It is an obvious choice for high-end cocktails. Try it as a substitute for vodka, mezcal, or aged whisky. A powerhouse of flavor.
