Bacardi ginger

February 4, 1862. The Bacardí family, led by Don Facundo Bacardí Masso, purchases a distillery in Santiago de Cuba. They throw out the old recipe book and begin creating their own unique blends. The revolutionary production process will change rum production forever. In Cuba, the bat is a symbol of good luck. When Dona Amalia Bacardí saw bats in the distillery, she insisted that they appear on every bottle. Was it this little mascot that helped them succeed despite setbacks? We will never know. But the bat remains.
