The name "La Chapelle" refers to the vineyard where the 12th-century chapel of Château Canet once stood. Today, the oldest vines, 70-year-old Grenache vines, are located here. The grapes were hand-harvested, pressed three times a day in the old-fashioned way (with feet) during the maceration period, and bottled early to capture the intensity of the fruit. Concentrated aromas of blackberries, vanilla, and cedarwood. Delicious with Christmas turkey, various cheeses, or dried sausage.
