The Z1N Il Numero Uno Zinfandel is intense in color and flavor. To achieve this intense concentration, the winery Masca del Tacco harvests some of the grapes overripe. This red wine is made from the pure Zinfandel grape variety, which is also called Primitivo in Italy. The vines thrive under the Apulian sun, and the wine ages for 12 months in small oak barrels. The wine has a beautiful dark red color, which is characteristic of Zinfandel. Equally characteristic is the mix of spicy notes and fruity aromas. The bouquet contains nuances of blackberries, plums, chocolate, and spices. On the palate, it is full, complex, and fruity with balanced tannins and a long, fresh finish with fine acids.
