Amidst the rolling hills of Friuli Colli Orientali DOC lies the home of the La Roncaia vineyards, famous for the prestigious Ramandolo and Picolit wines. The unique landscapes with green forests, beautiful terraces of vines, and in the distant horizon the glistening contours of the sea, are filled with a deep passion for wine that drives the Fantinel family (three generations of winemakers) in their pursuit of excellence by distinguishing themselves with full-bodied red wines, rare and elegant white wines, and the richness of sweet passitos. The area is ideally suited for viticulture due to its location and soil composition. The cellar of La Roncaia is not far from the exclusive Cergneu de Nimis vineyards, a place that lives in perfect harmony with its surroundings. Here, people work who know everything about the slow, fascinating process of aging wine in French oak barrels. They work tirelessly and apply their ancient skills to the vines and their precious harvest, picked in top condition and hand-selected to obtain top-quality wines. Wines that ferment at a controlled temperature to enhance the aromas of grapes, typical of an exclusive area.
