Diemersfontein has belonged to the Sonnenberg family for 3 generations, going back to the early 1940s. Originally, it was established by the Hanseatic captain Diemer as a fruit farm. In 1943, it was purchased by Max Sonnenberg. In the 1970s, his son Richard began cultivating vines, and in the year 2000, his grandson David Sonnenberg built his first wine cellar and started producing high-quality wines from the estate. The estate is 183 hectares in size and is located in the shadow of the majestic Hawekwa mountains, offering a panoramic view of both the Du Toitskloof and Bainskloof mountain ranges. This wine is bright light yellow in color with a green tint. Diemersfontein Sauvignon Blanc has a fresh acidity and bursts with ripe tropical fruit such as pineapple, passion fruit, and zesty lime, a structured mouthfeel, and a refreshing finish. Versatile with various dishes, delightful with ceviche, goat cheese, and asparagus.
