Manuel Maria Gonzalez is responsible for founding the Gonzalez Byass winery in 1835. The winery is located in the Spanish city of Jerez de la Frontera. He created the Tio Pepe wine, which is named after his uncle. His uncle was a popular and well-known figure, much loved by those around him, who gave him the nickname Tio Pepe. This sherry also features a beautiful pale straw color and a delicate bouquet of almonds.
