The Amarena cherry is a bitter, slightly sour cherry that is especially known as an Italian delicacy. For this delicacy, the Amarena cherries are pitted and sweetened with a sugar syrup. The brand Toschi is known for its Amarena cherries. Today, just as over sixty years ago, only the very best black Amarena cherries are carefully selected, pitted, and sweetened. These cherries are delicious as a garnish for, among other things, desserts and cakes.
