The Argentine shrimp is a wild cold-water shrimp caught off the coasts of Argentina. In appearance, it resembles the more well-known black tiger shrimp, only the Argentine shrimp is already red/orange in color before cooking. The Argentine shrimp has a fine texture with a slightly sweet intense flavor that leans towards langoustine. These raw shrimps are headless, tailless, peeled, and deveined and contain 16 - 20 pieces in an English pound (454 grams).
