Classic baba

Serve the babas in a rum syrup in a preserving jar. Add bowls with vanilla ice cream, vanilla sauce, and whipped cream; end the dinner on a festive note!

Ingredients

250gSugar
1units.itemsSavarin Baba
0.5units.itemsorange peel
0.5units.itemsorange juice
100mlRum

Preparation

  1. Scrape the seeds from the vanilla pod.
  2. Heat water with the sugar, orange juice, and the vanilla.
  3. Bring to a boil until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Remove from the heat and add the rum and orange peel.
  5. Let cool.
  6. Place the babas (1 baba per person) in the syrup until they are fully soaked.
